On distinguera alors divers courants issus de ce mouvement notamment : Nouveaux réalistes : les « Nouveaux réalistes », terme employé par le critique d’art Pierre Restany est un mouvement pictural fondé le 26 octobre 1960 suite à la signature du Manifeste des Nouveaux Réalistes par les artistes Arman, César, Christo, Deschamps, Dufrêne, Klein, Raysse, Rotella, Spoerri, Niki de Saint Phalle, Tinguely et Villéglé. Le mouvement utilise la réalité comme support et médium artistique, l’objet du quotidien est alors détourné, compilé, transformé et dans tous les cas questionné.

Various currents can be distinguished from this movement, notably : New Realists : The « New Realists », a term used by the art critic Pierre Restany, is a pictorial movement founded on 26 October 1960 following the signing of the Manifesto of the New Realists by the artists Arman, César, Christo, Deschamps, Dufrêne, Klein, Raysse, Rotella, Spoerri, Niki de Saint Phalle, Tinguely and Villéglé.
